Sitting nice & dry inside the Albergue Buen Camino in Palas de Rei!

It started raining about 2 hours after we arrived. The weather for walking was just about perfect so many thanks for the prayers of little rain! I met up with friends Agnes, Judi, Hilde & met their new friend Melanie from AL at a cafe stop this morning and then again at another cafe stop for lunch then we are all staying here.

Just finished dinner at 7:30 as three of them are going to mass - Agnes & I are staying in & dry!! It is such fun to be with them again!!! Tomorrow we will part as they are walking further than I am. Perhaps we will meet up in Santiago - you never know on the Camino!
Irene from CO & Johanna from Denmark joined us for dinner tonight. They are my roommates for the night - a tiny room with one bunkbed with a single bed in an alcove for me!!

The other 4 are in a room which is basically a hallway with one bunkbed & two singles -- interesting set up!!!

It was a nice walk today - cloudy & a bit humid but good paths and lovely scenery! Several hamlets in farming areas with cows inside buildings & out in the fields. Here are some photos of the day:
